Golang Job Details

We're a software company that designs and develops the Contensis API-first CMS. We help some of the largest organisations across the globe to manage their websites. Our clients include large private sector companies and public sector organisations like local governments and leading universities. We're creative and caring – our team and clients mean everything to us.

Our offices are on the outskirts of Ludlow in Shropshire, but we're flexible in our working arrangements and offer hybrid and remote options. We're also flexible on our daily start and finish times.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, experienced developer ready for a challenge. We develop an enterprise CMS called Contensis, which is built upon cutting-edge technologies, including .Net Core, Golang, Docker, Kubernetes and gRPC. Other exciting technologies we use include CockroachDB, Redis, Elasticsearch and RabbitMQ. This is all continuously delivered off the back of pipelines using Ansible for configuration management.

You'll look forward to a dynamic and varied role working on a complex system. Your day-to-day activities will involve designing and building new features, fixing bugs, writing tests and refactoring existing code. You’ll constantly learn new things and become a product expert to help our customer-facing staff support the most complex aspects of our products.

The great thing about a growing company is there are lots of directions your career can go, depending on your skills and aspirations.

Essential experience:

  • Professional experience using C#
  • Professional experience with SQL/RDBMS
  • In-depth knowledge of .NET
  • Experience of microservice development with REST and gRPC

  • Deep knowledge of S.O.L.I.D. principles of OOD

Desirable experience:

Ideally, you'll have a GitHub profile, a blog, a Stack Overflow account, or some way, we can see what you've been up to. But most importantly, you are passionate about what you do. You love development, learning new things, and seeing what you build put to good use.

What you can expect at Zengenti:

  • A monthly paid-for lunch at Zengenti HQ, where the whole company can come together to eat, catch up and share announcements
  • An annual personal development budget for training and conferences
  • Participate in Lockdown, our yearly hack day, where you get the opportunity to either lead or be part of a team building whatever you want.
